Dr Sooudi was born in Detroit, Michigan and came to Beaumont at age 2.  His father practiced colorectal surgery in Beaumont until 1996.  After undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate education, Steven returned to Beaumont and joined ACS in 2003.

 

His Vocational interests include prevention of disease, cardiovascular imaging, quality improvement in acute coronary syndromes, and PFO closure.  He is actively involved in the ACS outreach clinics in Jasper and Woodville Texas.  He is the medical director of cardiac rehabilitation services section.

 

Devoting his life to treating and preventing cardiovascular disease, Steven is equally devoted to his family.  He has two children: Sarah, born in 2004 and Steven Matthew born in 2006 and they give him great joy.  Steven’s sister and parents still live in Beaumont and share in this as well.

 

Based upon life experiences, Steven believes that happiness can only be achieved by sharing in the joys and sufferings of others.

 

Prior to entering private practice, Dr Sooudi published in several areas of cardiovascular disease, including imaging and cardiac transplantation.  He has also published research in non-cardiology areas of science over the years.
